A beautiful hand carved mother of pearl horse cameo is the focal point of this unique necklace. It features variscite, a secondary mineral formed by direct deposit from water containing phosphate and which has reacted with aluminum rich rocks.. Variscite often has white veins of the mineral crandallite. Variscite resembles turquoise and is often mistaken for it. This unusual necklace set also contains carnelian, mother of pearl, and bone, for a classy eclectic look. The necklace measures 16 inches with an extender chain that allows for up to 2 1/2 inches additional. An extender chain allows you to wear your necklace at differing lengths for a broader wardrobe selection, from scoop neck to turtleneck. Earrings hang approximately 2 inches and are French wires.. Metal used is silver plate and as such, is not hypoallergenic.
